Associate an external server role to a server resource

Associate a server role Entity that contains a logical, predefined set of components (system software or certified third-party software) deployed in the Data Center and Site Zones that provide specific functionality for the system. for an external server to link it to another server resource.

For example, associate an external recorder to centralized archiving to show that calls from the external server are being aggregated on the centralized archiving Server.

You can also associate a server role on an external server to another server role. In this case, the settings of the server role on the external server are shared with the other role.

Procedure

Go to System Management Module that allows performing suite-wide system management activities from a single, Web-based application, the Enterprise Manager.. Under Enterprise, select Settings.
In the Installations tree (left-pane), expand the Server icon for the external server and select a server role.
Click Associations. The Associations tab displays, showing any eligible servers that can be associated with the server role.
Click a server in the hierarchy, and then click Save.
